At Little Swans we recognise that EVERY child deserves the best start in life.

We offer quality childcare in a safe, supportive and educational environment to enable them to fulfil their potential.

We use the both the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) – Development Matters 2021 and the Birth to five Matters, Non- Satutory gudiance to support the children's Development. 

 

The four themes of the Early Years Foundation Stage are:

• Learning and Development

Within the Learning and Development theme there are six areas:

Prime Areas ;

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development

• Communication, Language

• Physical Development 

Specific Areas ;

• Literacy

• Maths 

• Understanding the World

• Expressive Arts and Design. 

 

All of these areas work together to enable Little Swans to provide your child with activities that interest, enthuse and motivate them, giving them the opportunities to explore and be adventurous with a good balance of child-initiated and adult led activities.
