Admissions & Finance

Little Swans is open during term time every weekday morning Session, 8.30am until 12 noon and afternoon session, 12 noon to 3.30 pm. Those staying all day bring a packed lunch and drink which will be stored in the fridge.

Admissions 

We welcome new admissions anytime during the school year for children aged 2 to 5 years. Once registration forms have been completed, your child can start, where spaces are available. We offer home visits, where the manager and key person meet you and the child in their own home before starting.

Fees

The current fees per 3-hour session are £12.75  these are reviewed yearly by the Directors during a Committee meeting in July ready for September term. Fees are invoiced monthly in advance showing details of the expected sessions for the month ahead; they are payable within fourteen days from the invoice date, should fees not be received we will follow our Charging policy 

Additional Fees

On occasions, it may be necessary to request additional payment to cover the cost of trips or fund cooking activities.

When Your Child Leaves Little Swans

We ask that you give FOUR WEEKS written notice when your child is leaving Little Swans pre-school. If it is necessary for you to, or you wish to, cease sessions immediately, you will be invoiced for your child’s place as if they had attended for the four weeks notice period.

 

Nursery Education Grant

We are able to claim the Nursery Education Grant for children once they reach the term following their third birthday. Each eligible child will receive funding for up to five 3 hour sessions a week. 

Claims are made via the group and claim forms will be issued to you automatically once your child becomes eligible.

30 Hours Free Childcare.

From September 2017, Families that meet the necessary criteria can claim up to 30 hours a week funding. The main criteria are:

  •  Working Families in England

  •  Child is aged 3 or 4 years old

  • Parent(S) earn under £100,000 a year.

  • Parent(s) must earn at least £120 a week.

Parents apply for an eligibility code and the group uses this code to claim funding for the claim period.Eligibility codes MUST be updated every  3 months. For further details please see child choices  website:https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/                    

 

2 Year Funding 

We are able to claim funding for two year olds, you will be sent a letter through the post if you qualify just bring that form in and we can help you claim the funding. If you have not received a letter, you can check your eligibility below;

Tax Credits

HMRC Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit schemes are available to help with paying fees dependent on your personal circumstances. If you would like further information please see a member of staff for further details.

When registering your childcare with the Tax Credit helpline they will ask for the following information:

  • Name of Governing Body; Ofsted

  • Name & address of childcare provider ; Little Swans Pre-school, The Village Hall, Manns Lane, Swanton Morley, Dereham NR20 4NP

  • Our OFSTED number ; EY293252
